Debattle 2016 aimed to make the par ticipants aware about the vulnerability of social media and how to avoid being susceptible. It was a special day as the manage ment, staff, students and parents were united by the spirit of patriotism. Three banners created to cheer the runners fetched Harini, Shreya and Tapas awards. Parents participated in the Colours of India competition, with Samana, Smitha, Aparna, Maheshwari and Geetha winning awards. The school awarded a special trophy to 85-year-old G M Chittiappa, who walked the entire 5K stretch and made the day memorable. The 3K girls' category winners were Riya, Sonali, Anjini, Saanvi and Chhavi. In the 3K boys' race, Sharath, Shabbir, Monish, Chinmay and Abhay beat their counterparts to emerge victorious. Isika, Gauri, Havila, Diya and Ishita won the 5K girls' category. The 5K boys' category winners were Mukesh, Daniel, Varun, Gagan and Vaibhav. The 5K men's category awards went to Daksha Ballal, Iftiyaz Ahmed, Abhishek Arora, Monish Jamwal and Vijay Balasubramaniam and the 5K women's run saw Rashi Prasad, Kavitha Kappagal, Rumpa Samanta, Gayatri Raval and Karuna Gupta emerge on top. Sherwood Run for India saw participants compete in two categories -5K and 3K.
